David Dorman Leaves AT&T, Joins Motorola with an Axe |

 You might not be all that familiar with his name, but you've surely heard about some of things this guy has done in the past. David W. Dorman is the former CEO of AT&T and he was responsible for the chopping up of the company into several divisions. He has now found himself a new job at Motorola as Chairman.
As you recall, Dorman was the replacement for Mike Armstrong at AT&T, taking the post of CEO. He completely reorganized the company by creating AT&T Wireless (which later became Cingular and then AT&T again) and AT&T Broadband (which became Comcast). He seems to like separating a larger company into smaller, more digestible chunks.
Given the recent financial state of Motorola, it's well within reason that Mr. Dorman will take a similar approach in his new position as Motorola's Chairman. Will this turn the company around?
